Today, we shine the spotlight on Rye Bread, the current leader of the Water Vikings. Let’s take a closer look at her journey through Club Penguin Armies, her leadership experience, and the legacy she’s building.

Early Days in Club Penguin Armies
Rye Bread began her Club Penguin Armies journey in 2020 after being recruited into the Dark Warriors on Club Penguin Online. Thanks to her dedication, she quickly proved herself a valuable asset, eventually becoming a Voice Command Leader and later earning a promotion to Head Moderator before retiring in November 2020.
Following her initial retirement, she had brief stints in Legoman Hoorah Army and Special Weapons and Tactics, where she held ranks such as Second-in-Command (2ic) and Fourth-in-Command (4ic). She later joined the Secret Service, serving a longer tenure as 4ic and eventually 3ic due to her consistent work and commitment. She remained there until the army shut down following a server raid. Rye Bread then joined the Templars for short period, continuing her journey across the CPA landscape.
Transitioning into a Leader
Rye Bread eventually returned to SWAT, where she worked her way up to Leader marking the beginning of her leadership career in CPA. She served in this role from July 2022 to January 2023.
After retiring from SWAT, she founded her own army the Penguins of Madagascar. Under her leadership, the army engaged in wars against the Magma Clan and SWAT, and later faced off against the People’s Imperial Confederation, which led to the army’s shutdown. Despite the short lifespan, Penguins of Madagascar as an S/M Army achieved notable milestones, including 3rd place in the Trick or Treat Trials and a Top Ten ranking as high as 5th place. The army officially shut down in April 2024.
Leader of Water Vikings
Following the closure of Penguins of Madagascar, Rye Bread joined the Water Vikings as 2ic, contributing during major conflicts, including wars against the Templars and Army of Club Penguin, as well as a prolonged war with EGCP, which concluded with a peace treaty.
In June 2024, after Cabin’s leadership retirement, Rye Bread was next in line and was promoted to Leader of the Water Vikings. She continues to serve in this role today with strong determination to make the Water Vikings one of the top-performing armies of this time.

Club Penguin Armies Official approached Rye Bread for an exclusive interview asking about her journey and vision for the future.
You’ve held many positions across different armies. What has been your favorite experience?
My favorite experience so far has been in Water Vikings. In other armies I was constantly stressed and I wasnt having a lot of fun, here its a much better environment and I feel less stressed.
What inspired you to create your own army, Penguins of Madagascar?
The idea came to me in August 2022 where I said it would be funny if we made an army called Penguins of Madagascar and all the HCOM were the 4 penguins. After I was kicked from SWAT I still wanted to lead and my reputation made me repulsive, so I made POM with Logical.
Now that you’re leading the Water Vikings, what is your current vision for the army going forward?
Win Legends Cup. Following LC, theres a lot of plans for the army including updated channels, website, and features, that will be released when its ready.
The CPA community has gone through many changes over the years. How do you think the community has evolved since you first joined in 2020?
Well I didnt get to experience the CPA community much in 2020-2022 since I was simply not in CPAH or even looked at the top ten armies. It wasnt until I rejoined armies that I became involved in the wider community, and since then I think its become a lot calmer, which has its pros and cons.
CPA has now truly become an organization, with our own game for every army to use, and a very well thought out judging system. We even have a visualized map for wars, which gets stagnant very frequently but its still cool.
Recruiting has definitely evolved, and your recruiting skill has an impact on your reputation aswell. People in CPA can now build genuine skill to use in real life, such as writing, managing, editing, digital art, and calculations. I think its really neat that this community has changed so much in 5 years let alone 18.
Do you have any message for the community?
I hope that everyone in this community gains something from it when they leave. Use that knowledge to impact your environment and take action.
In our interview, Rye reflected on how the Club Penguin Armies community has evolved into a more organized, skill-driven space helping members grow in areas like writing, digital art, leadership, and management. She spoke about the positive atmosphere within the Water Vikings and her goal to build a stronger, more efficient army moving forward. Her message to the community was clear take what you’ve learned from CPA and use it beyond the game. Rye’s journey reflects resilience, growth, and dedication turning what began as a hobby into a truly meaningful experience.
From her early days in Dark Warriors to leadership roles in SWAT and the creation of Penguins of Madagascar, Rye has consistently shown adaptability and purpose. Her creative leadership at POM led to notable achievements despite a short run. Now, as leader of the Water Vikings, she’s focused on guiding the army toward major victories, including a run for the Legends Cup, while continuing to leave a meaningful mark on the CPA community. Club Penguin Armies Official extends its sincere thanks to Rye Bread for taking the time to collaborate with us on this feature. We wish her continued success in her journey and future endeavors within the community.
