On March 5, 2025, The Bastille Vanguard and Special Weapons and Tactics unveiled a new alliance. Today we will review the events leading up to this alliance.
Volatile Positions
The Bastille Vanguard entered the army scene on November 2, formed by former members of the Elite Guardians. Since their beginnings, they have seen maxes of up to 20, and have partaken in tournaments such as Christmas Chaos XIV and March Madness X. The Vanguardities also faced off against the Doritos, in their recent war-spree.
Special Weapons and Tactics are a longstanding face in the army community, however, recently they have had massive shake-ups within their ranks. Following the exodus in which Fun X Time, Zooy and Fwapo left, alongside many High Command and Staff members, former leaders Subzero and Holo2 were appointed leader.
The Bastille Vanguard x Special Weapons and Tactics
On March 5, 2025, SWAT unveiled their newest alliance with The Bastille Vanguard. This alliance furthers both armies’ diplomatic relations, and will surely lead to great support for one another. Alliances in Club Penguin Armies allow for unmatched camaraderie and assistance, and this is hopefully what both armies will see from this newfound partnership.
To find out more about the alliance, Club Penguin Armies Official reached out to SWAT leader, Holo2, and TBV leader, aucraia, for an exclusive statement.
What led you to forming this alliance? How will it benefit your army?
Holo2: When Myself and Subzero initially returned it was made abundantly clear to us that diplomacy from other armies into SWAT was at an all time low.
We felt as though it was time SWAT extend their best foot forward and we aim to rebuild proper diplomacy across the community, with Versa joining the leadership team, assisting with rebuilding relationships, we felt as though The Bastille Vanguard shared a positive mindset towards our efforts for SWAT, leading to the alliance.
aucraia: We felt as if SWAT could not only help us, but be helped by this alliance. We both have lots to improve and expand on in our armies, and SWAT’s efforts have not gone unnoticed by us. Besides, we have an ally in common already, which facilitates the process. The alliance was ultimately officiated some days after a Practice Battle between us.
I believe it will benefit not only TBV but SWAT as well. Our sizes are decent, but they can always get better when inviting allies is possible. Expanding our diplomatic relations also benefits our overall visibility, I believe.
In conclusion, it is clear this alliance will support both armies, with the newfound allies looking forward to their future together. But what do you think? What led to this alliance? What can we expect from these new allies? Will this alliance be lengthy and prosperous, or ultimately fall short? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments.
